Best of both worlds.

Our home is a well built traditional end terrace red brick council house built in 1939. It has one large double bedroom , one smaller room (fits a king-size bed and large furniture) and one smaller single room. A nice size living room over looks the garden. The kitchen has space for a dining table and also has under stairs cupboard which we use as a pantry. The downstairs bathroom has an over the bath shower. We have a medium size wildlife friendly garden with lots of mature shrubs and well established fruit trees (apple, pear, plum) There is extensive on road parking directly to the rear of property at the end of a quite cul-de-sac. We have a Sky dish, a smart meter for electric, oil central heating (with emersion if necessary) and a 1300l oil tank. The well serviced village has (to name just a few amenities) A GP surgery with dispensary, petrol garage with Spar shop, repair garage, hardware shop, newsagents (with cafe), well stocked corner shop, restaurant, pub (also serving food), chip shop, regular food trucks, primary school (feeding into Beaminster, school bus is able to be applied for), preschool, after school care club which collects from the local school, taekwondo club, Cub scouts, adults art group, children's football club, playground, MUGA, train station with trains to Dorchester, Weymouth and Yeovil, allotments, cycle route, stunning local walks.Maiden Newton is a lovely village for families and those wishing to maintain their independence due to proximity of everything including the stunning Jurassic Coast. The popular Weymouth beach and West Bay (Bridport) are short drives with the larger towns of Yeovil and Bournemouth also a not a great distance away. Maiden Newton really does have the best of all worlds. Like many housing associations Magna does not allow for under occupancy unless for genuine reasons.Dorchester 8.5 miles, Bridport 11.8 miles, Yeovil 13.8 miles, Weymouth 17.2 miles Bournemouth 35 miles, Exeter 55 miles We are now searching for a forever family home in a very rural village location South Somerset, West Dorset or East Dorset. It must have a very large garden due to bringing our numerous allotment plants with us! We would ideally like to have a three bedroom with parlour room. Ideally the home will have walking routes on the doorstep. Parking to be close to the property although not worried if it is roadside if the property is the right one. The home must accept pets. We consider being part of a multi swap for serious swappers only. We have lived in our home for 13 years and my garden is very precious to me with many of the plants being gifted to me by my beautiful late grandparents. Now they have passed away, it is time for us to move to an area which allows my family to remember the wonderful past whilst being able heal, grow and move on with our lives. I would love to think my garden will be nurtured and cherished in the same way that my family have done. It would definitely suit someone who is looking for a slower pace of life, who loves watching wildlife and nature orientated gardening!
