Bampton is a wishing village with a population of 1800 people. It sits in the valley surrounded by beautiful green hills and is just 4.8 miles to the Township of Tiverton , Mid Devon. Bampton is very close to Dartmoor and the border of Somerset is just a short drive out of the Village. The Village has been a rich resource during covd19 and is well equipped with all your essential needs to not need to leave . With 2 local food stores , one which is the local post office you can do your personal banking here without the ques. Bampton has it's own amazing butchers , and a delightful fruit and veggie store. Theres a great fish n chip shop as well. And a veterinary service . We have a lovely bakery store and 2 community centres. We have a Wine shop and a fabulous village cafe frequented by the locals every day. There is a good bus service to Tiverton township where you can get buses to the City of Exeter just 35 minutes away. There are many walking paths and open spaces to walk your pets and for the grand children there are 2 fully equipped play grounds and a beautiful football ground. Bampton is a great place to live if you want to be away from traffic noise and pollution. Bampton has 3 pubs , one of them is a Michelin star rated eatery called the White Swan I moved here 5 years ago and it has changed my life for the good. My reason to move to the Hertford area is to be near to my new purchase , a narrow boat that is moored up there . And to be able to take full advantage of spending lots of time on board doing day trips with my labrador. My home is my delight here , great neighbours with a strong sense of community spirit. Non intrusive but always looking out for each other. The bungalow is with a small front terrace entrance which enters into a good size living room with a large double glazed window offering plenty of light. There is a boiler cupboard where I store my linen. From the living room.you enter into the very decent size kitchen roughly 12ft x 9 ft with a window looking out to the medium size rear garden. There are lots of copourd space and room for a washing machine and electric cooker. This property is electric only, no gas supplied here in the village. Theres a small entry hall which leads you into the bedroom approx 12ft x13 ft. And another large newly fitted double glazed window. There is a bathroom with a walk in wet room , bathroom basin and a clean toilet with a window . The back door opens up into a back storage / pantry area and has another door to enter into the back garden. Attached to the back storing room is another storing room which is around 10ft x 7 ft , plenty of storage can be left behind a closed door. There is another door which opens ip the the shared corridor which allows access out onto the quiet street where adequate parking is always available. The garden has been a work in progress and I had a small decking area built out here. It's a great sun trap and a really pleasant space to entertain in the warmer months. If your a bit of a gardener you will enjoy this outdoor space. At the back fence it is lined with beautiful old oak trees . The local Doctors Surgey is in this area ,so it's around a 1 minute walk to the Bampton Surgery. There is a lovely old world chemist in the village , they are amazing. Barnhay is a no through road and most residents are elderly , but there are also a few young families living here too. It's truly a delightful bungalow that are in high demand. Last but not least for the North Devon Coastline your a 35 minute leisurely drive through the rolling green hills of devon and somerset. Rent is approx £77 per month. Council tax is Band A.
